Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Dr Yaacob Ibrahim will visit the Federative Republic of Brazil from 15 to 19 July 2008.

In Brasilia, Minister Yaacob will meet with his Brazilian counterparts - Minister of Health Jose Gomes Temporao, Minister of Science and Technology Sergio Machado Rezende, and Minister of Environment Carlos Minc Baumfeld.  He will also visit the National Health Foundation (FUNASA).  In Rio de Janeiro, Minister Yaacob will visit the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ), the Rio State Water Company (CEDAE), and the Rainforest Institute.

Minister Yaacob will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and the National Environment Agency.
