VISIT OF SENIOR MINISTER GOH CHOK TONG TO THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will make an official visit to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) from 23 to 26 April 2007 at the invitation of the PRC government.

In Beijing, SM will meet with Premier Wen Jiabao and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission Chairman Li Rongrong.  National People's Congress Vice Chairman Jiang Zhenghua will host dinner for SM.

SM will attend the Expo Central China 2007 in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, at the invitation of the PRC government.  He will address a high-level forum at the Expo as well as meet with Vice Premier Wu Yi.

SM will be accompanied by Mrs Goh, Minister of State (Trade and Industry) Lee Yi Shyan, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Environment and Water Resources) Dr Amy Khor and senior officials.
